Herbaceous, slightly medicinal, and warmly earthy — thyme sits in similar territory to rosemary but with more resinous body and a subtle floral undertone from its natural thymol character. The opening is sharp and green, drying down to a warmer, woody-herbal base. It's a grounding note that adds depth and authenticity to aromatic, fougère, and Mediterranean-inspired compositions.
Works well in:
- Reed diffusers and room sprays — clean, herbal projection at moderate usage rates
