Grapefruit Perfume Oil

Sharp, tart, and clean — this opens with the distinctive bitter-bright character of fresh grapefruit peel, drier and more astringent than orange, with less sweetness and more edge. There's a faint green, slightly pithy quality that gives it an authentic raw material feel rather than a sweetened citrus impression. It reads as crisp and invigorating — closer to the white variety than pink.

Works well in:

• Cold process and melt-and-pour soap — strongest application for this note; the tart, clean character holds well in rinse-off formats
• Body and perfume oils — effective as a sharp top note at standard dilution; lifts heavier bases well
• Room sprays — immediate and refreshing; well-suited to clean, wellness, and spa-positioned product lines
• Reed diffusers — works best blended with mid and base notes to compensate for citrus top-note fade
• Wax melts — more reliable than container candles at retaining citrus character
