Bright, slightly fruity, and warmly spicy — pink pepper is softer and more rounded than black, with a fresh, rosy facet that sits between spice and floral. The bite is there but gentled, with a dry, woody finish that keeps it from reading as sweet. It adds vivid lift to modern florals, fresh chypres, and woody compositions without the sharpness of traditional pepper.
Works well in:
- Body and perfume oils — skin-safe at standard dilution, particularly effective as a top note in floral and chypre blends
- Reed diffusers and room sprays — projects cleanly, good diffusion at moderate rates
- Soy and paraffin candles — performs well alongside rose, woody, and fresh bases
