عرق سوس حلو وداكن بلسعة يانسون واضحة في المقدمة وعمق ترابي مائل قليلاً إلى الجذرية تحته. الحلاوة حلوانية لا سكرية، أقرب إلى عرق السوس الطري منها إلى حلوى اليانسون، وتحتفظ القاعدة بحافة عشبية جافة تمنعه من أن يصبح ثقيلاً. ثبات جيد، بطابع يبقى مميّزاً داخل الخلطة.
يناسب استخدامه في:
- شموع الصويا والبارافين — انتشار حراري جيد؛ مميّز بمفرده وفي الخلطات التوابلية
- مكعّبات الشمع وأجهزة تسخين الشمع
- موزّعات العطر بالأعواد وبخاخات الغرف — ينتقل جيداً؛ يُستخدم بنِسَب معتدلة لأن نوتة اليانسون حازمة
- صابون الإذابة والصب — ثابت اللون في معظم القواعد
- زيوت الجسم والعطور — يعمل كمعدّل داكن وحلو في الخلطات الشرقية والحلوانية
