Inspired version of Oud Ispahan by Christian Dior

Rose and saffron over patchouli, on a deep sandalwood and oud base. A dense, creamy rose-oud with labdanum warmth underneath.

Fragrance notes

• Accords: Oud, Rose, Balsamic, Amber, Woody
• Top notes: Labdanum
• Middle notes: Rose, Saffron, Patchouli
• Base notes: Sandalwood, Agarwood (Oud), Cedar

Works well in:

• Body and perfume oils — deep and long-wearing even at low dilution
• Soy and paraffin candles — good hot throw with a warm, resinous room note
• Bukhoor and incense blends — the agarwood holds its shape over heat
• Reed diffusers — one of the stronger performers on reeds
• Cold process and melt-and-pour soap — test first: the oud and leather materials can discolour a pale base
