Bourbon vanilla and amber over jasmine, closing on benzoin. Short on notes and long on warmth: a simple, dense amber-vanilla.

Works well in:

• Body and perfume oils — rich and sweet on skin; the base gives it real staying power
• Soy and paraffin candles — strong hot throw; the sweet base reads clearly in wax
• Wax melts and tart warmers — one of the better gourmand performers in a warmer
• Reed diffusers — one of the stronger performers on reeds
• Cold process and melt-and-pour soap — expect some discolouration from the vanillin; stable otherwise
