Inspired version of Hibiscus Mahajád by Maison Crivelli

Cool mint and blackcurrant against cinnamon and leather, with rose softening the middle. An unusual contrast, sweet and sharp at the same time.

• Base notes: Vanilla, Benzoin, Ambrette

Works well in:

• Body and perfume oils — deep and long-wearing even at low dilution
• Soy and paraffin candles — good hot throw with a warm, resinous room note
• Room and linen sprays — lifts a room quickly without turning heavy
• Reed diffusers — the florals carry a medium room well
• Cold process and melt-and-pour soap — stable, but test first: the spice can discolour a pale base
