Inspired version of Dior Homme Intense 2011 by Christian Dior

Iris at the centre — cool, powdery and slightly waxy — with pear softening it and vetiver and cedar keeping the base dry. Elegant, restrained and unusually serious.

Fragrance notes

• Accords: Woody, Floral, Powdery, Aromatic, Musky
• Top notes: Lavender
• Middle notes: Ambrette (Musk Mallow), Pear, Iris
• Base notes: Vetiver, Virginia Cedar

Works well in:

• Body and perfume oils — full and long-lasting; strong enough to lead a blend on its own
• Soy and paraffin candles — good hot throw; the florals stay legible in soy wax
• Room and linen sprays — bright and clean on application
• Reed diffusers — one of the stronger performers on reeds
• Cold process and melt-and-pour soap — stable through cure with minimal discolouration
