Inspired version of Blonde Amber by Clive Christian

Orange over tobacco and tonka bean, with a cool, almost saline edge running under the sweetness. Unusual, soft and quietly leathery.

• Base notes: Tonka Bean

Works well in:

• Body and perfume oils — deep and long-wearing even at low dilution
• Soy and paraffin candles — clean burn; keep the load up, since the citrus top fades first in wax
• Bukhoor and incense blends — the resins and woods take heat well
• Reed diffusers — carries a medium room well
• Cold process and melt-and-pour soap — test first: the smoky and animalic materials can discolour a pale base
