Deep, resinous, and unmistakably oud — Dan Al Oud carries the dark, barnyard-edged smokiness of aged agarwood, with a rich woody core and a warm animalic undertone that gives it real presence. It reads as authentically Arabic in character: dense, long-lasting, and built for compositions where oud is meant to lead, not accent. The dry-down softens into a smooth, balsamic base without losing its depth.
Works well in:
- Body and perfume oils — strong sillage and exceptional longevity on skin
- Bukhoor and incense blends — a natural anchor for compositions rooted in depth and tradition.
- Reed diffusers — diffuses with authority; use at moderate concentration for ambient applications
- Attar-style blends — performs well as a prestige base in alcohol-free perfumery
