Inspired by Sauvage (Christian Dior)

Peppery bergamot over lavender and geranium, on a big, radiant ambroxan base. Clean, sharp and enormously diffusive.

Fragrance notes

• Accords: Amber, Aromatic, Citrus, Musky, Spicy
• Top notes: Pepper, Calabrian Bergamot
• Middle notes: Lavender, Sichuan Pepper, Elemi, Pink Pepper, Vetiver, Geranium, Patchouli
• Base notes: Cedar, Labdanum, Ambroxan

Works well in:

• Body and perfume oils — light and easy to wear through the day
• Soy and paraffin candles — clean burn; keep the load up, since the citrus top fades first in wax
• Bukhoor and incense blends — the resins and woods take heat well
• Reed diffusers — one of the stronger performers on reeds
• Cold process and melt-and-pour soap — stable, though the citrus top fades faster in soap than in wax

Supplied undiluted and alcohol-free, in three raw-material grades. The scent profile is the same in each; the grade sets the materials, and with them the projection and wear:

• Quality A: the richest materials, with the strongest projection and the longest wear.
• Quality C: more economical materials, with lighter projection and shorter wear than Quality A.
• Quality E: the most economical materials, with the lightest projection and the shortest wear.
