Dry, sharp, and clean — this pepper oil leads with a bright, almost citrusy bite before settling into a crisp, woody spice. The character is more black pepper than white: assertive and direct, with a cool, slightly green edge that keeps it from reading as heavy. It diffuses well and adds immediate lift to oriental, woody, and fresh compositions without dominating the base.
Works well in:
- Body and perfume oils — skin-safe at standard dilution, strong performance as a top note in spice and woody blends
- Reed diffusers and room sprays — clean projection, effective at moderate usage rates
- Soy and paraffin candles — good hot throw, works well alongside amber, oud, and vetiver bases
- Wax melts and tart warmers
