Floral

The largest and most varied fragrance family. Florals span rose, jasmine, tuberose, lily of the valley, ylang ylang, orange blossom, peony, magnolia, and gardenia, among many others. The character ranges enormously — dewy and transparent (peony, lily of the valley), creamy and indolic (jasmine, tuberose), rich and heady (tuberose, gardenia), or sweet and powdery (rose, violet). Florals sit at the heart of most compositions and carry the emotional weight of a fragrance. Rose, in particular, holds a special place in Arabic perfumery, paired endlessly with oud, saffron, and amber.
