A rich, heady floral with the intensely sweet, slightly rubbery character ylang ylang is known for — full-bodied and narcotic at the top, with a warm, balsamic creaminess that emerges in the dry-down. There's a faint banana-like quality typical of the raw material alongside a deep, tropical floral density that can quickly dominate a blend. It performs as a prominent heart note and carries strongly in most applications.
Works well in:
- Body and perfume oils — use measured in blends; works as a rich floral heart in oriental, tropical, or chypre compositions
- Soy and paraffin candles — strong hot throw; suits exotic, floral, or luxury candle ranges; recommended at moderate loadings

- Melt-and-pour and cold process soap — stable; suits tropical or floral-positioned product lines
