Use only fragrance oils rated for gel, at 3–5%; ordinary oils cloud the gel or separate from it. Add liquid dye a drop at a time. Warm the glass first and pour slowly down the side to keep bubbles to a minimum, or pour hot for a clearer set and cooler if you want bubbles as an effect. Anchor the wick with a metal sustainer, and keep embeds non-flammable and away from the flame.
